Mini File Folder Game

First off, I want to say thank you to all of you! I have seen that a lot of hits on Lexie's ONH Journey blog have come from here. I'm so thankful for those of you who have taken the time to learn more about Lexie, her condition, and how to help her reach her goal.

Lexie is my best friend, and she also happens to be my cousin. She's always been an inspiration to me and an anchor in my life. She's suffered her whole life, but never let it stop her from living life to the fullest and accomplishing things that most would have thought impossible for her to do. I have been waiting my whole life for her to have this opportunity.

I got really emotional over all the hits on her blog, and I'm emotional as I write this. Lexie deserves all of the support that you have given and much more. Thank you.

Now on to the fun stuff.

I created this mini file folder game and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I love file folder games, but I am trying to make my church bag a little bit smaller...so I went smaller.

As you can see, all I did was take a file folder and cut it at the crease. This way I can get two file folder games out of one folder. I also used magnets. I like velcro, but file folder games make it louder than if it's on fabric. I like magnets because they're quiet. I used the magnet roll where you can cut you own size (very cost effective).

Just copy the images below into photoshop or even a word document and print them off. Cut them out. Paste the filer folder game cover, Popcorn Popping song page, and the tree page into the file folder. Cut out the individual popcorn game pieces and laminate them. Take the file folder to get it laminated at FedEx/Kinkos, Staples, etc. Be sure to fold the file in half and get a really good crease before you get it laminated. Staple a plastic bag to the back to put your pieces in. Hope you like it.

I made these images, so if you want to share these...link them back to my blog.

Awesome. I love file folder games and am in the process of making a ton for my little boy. I want to use the magnets as well, but am having a hard time finding them. Where did you buy them? Thanks for sharing your hard work on the games.

I love your ideas! I am definitely doing this one soon. I've made at least 25 of the regular sized file folders (using Finch Family Games books) for my daughter but they don't travel well it's true so we don't pull them out that often. Now I might just go back and make all her favorite ones into mini file folders. I love it! I love your blog. I love your creativity and I'm still so stoked to be getting the Gospel ABC's book in the mail...hopefully this week! Thanks!

My Walmart had it in the office section, but I also saw it at Staples. I don't think target had it.

Also try Michael's, Joann's or Hobby Lobby.

Thank you for sharing. I love that they are already in color - that is one reason I stopped doing the other ones- it takes too long to color them. I like the idea of the mini size, perfect for little hands.

Thanks for sharing your two mini file folder games. I've been searching out good Sunday file folder games and that's how I found your blog!

I am having a hard time printing it at the right size. When I copy it to word and make it a little bigger it gets fuzzy. Could you send me an email with your file folder attachments?

Thanks for your great ideas.
